knit art

My mom Ria is an artist, her Daily Paintings blog showcases her daily artwork. The blog features small pieces, usually 5×7 and 10×10.

Her most recent “daily” is a pastel painting of coffee and a knitted piece with needles!

Or just browse around, lots of awesome mini-paintings and pastels to buy. Just take a peek at the left side menu for what is still available. You can view even more by clicking the monthly archives.

My favorite at the moment is the Frank Zappa oil painting… awesome.

You can also view her large works here, and her dog portraits here.

Boise and Margrite

Good news!  We have added more Karabella Boise and Margrite colors.

Both of these yarns have cashmere in them, and you can really feel it!  It’s almost like a merino wrapped in cashmere, you would never know that it’s not 100% cashmere!

A must-try for all knitters, really…

And here are the new Boise colors.

Sockotta sock progress

I just had to try out the Sockotta yarn. I’ve been seeing lots of Sockotta socks on blogs and wanted to knit one up myself.

This is color 362, a “Casual Stripe” shade.
The speckles of red make the stripes blend, very cool.

Also, coming soon, a new quick crochet pattern using Karaoke yarn.
I call it “Northern Lights”, a fun decoration for winter!
