We are really happy to announce these new handmade knitting needles!
All are totally one-of-a-kind, never to be made again!

They are so wacky, I love them all.

Knit Couture Tool Kits are here!
Also the silk wrapped 3-ring binders.
Both are great gift ideas for early holiday shopping.

OH, WAIT! There is some yarn news! Habu kits are in!

the new knitty is out!

I don’t need to tell you the new issue of Knitty is out. In celebration of this rockin issue, here are some things I noticed…

1. the cover design Arisaig is knit with a vintage yarn. She recommends Jaeger Matchmaker 4 ply as a substitution, Aurora 4 will also knit up to the same gauge!

2. the Lady B knitting bag by Lexie Barnes was reviewed in the “cool stuff” section!
click here and scroll down, and view our selection of Lexie Barnes bags

3. Lacey is knit with Blue Ridge Yarns Brushed Mohair… I can’t find that yarn on the internet! But I do know that we just got that color of Karabella Lace Mohair… I wonder if it would knit to gauge? hmmm. What a cool pattern.

4. Bubby is so cute! I just had to make him right away,
and in a matching color to my Baby Bobbi Bear.

5. I’ve always been a Jennifer Thurston fan, here is another reason why.

6. You know we are handspun lovers, in the “covet central” section there is a website I have never seen! It’s called Fun with Yarn

Karabella updates

Great new Fall 2005 colors of Empire Silk are available!
colors 511 thru 516

Also, we got a “boat load” of new Lace Mohair, which is now more of a ball shape instead of the longer center-pull balls. There are some cool variegated colors in there, I’m really excited about them.

Oh, and of course, some Fall 2005 Aurora 8 colors!
Anyone need a photography job?! tee hee

South West cool

We just got a new shipment from South West Trading Company, included in the box were these brand new Charm Bag Kits!

How cool! Each one has a variety of colors, and you get every kind of SWTC yarn to knit up a cute little bag that is big enough to fit your cell phone and credit cards… I especially love the darks, great combination of colors.

AND … they are also running a promotion for Karaoke yarn. Click the image to read about it. Free knitting needles anyone?!

Alison F. shows her stuff

What is this gorgeous drape of purple?
Why, it’s Clapotis worked up in SWTC Phoenix of course!

And these gloves are called “Hurry Up Spring Armwarmers” from the Stitch ‘N’ Bitch book. They look smashing in Karaoke.

Thanks for sharing your knits Alison!

Vesper sock yarn Update

For those looking for Vesper sock yarn.. really, we’re not holding out on you! Julia is busy making them and we will have more this week. We are starting a Vesper Newsletter, in which we will email you the second the skeins hit the store. Send a blank email to vesper@knitpixie.com to be added to the list.

We’ve had lots of people asking to hold onto certain colors, but it is now getting to be too much, we simply cannot keep track of everyone. .. eek!
So please join the list to know when they arrive!
