Hat of Peace … Fleece

This crochet hat was made by Ria H. using the yarn that came in the Peace Fleece Crochet Shopping Bag kit!

Which reminds me… you can knit or crochet anything with the Peace Fleece Kits! It’s a great way to get a variety of colors to work with at a low price. There are some awesome colors in the Garter Stitch Scarf Kit

And very soon we will be offering up Peace Fleece mini-skeins, a great way to choose a color or do some fairisle work!

Karaoke

EEK!!! South West Trading Co. Karaoke is here in ALL colors available.

Solids and variegated, well, pretty much self striping colors with a gradual color change. The color migrations are very similar to the Noro yarns. BUT Karaoke is way softer! (and no “twigs” to pick out of the yarn)

We are adding all the Karaoke patterns to the website, but if you see one at the soysilk.com website that we haven’t added yet, just let us know and we will send it to you with your purchase!

We are totally in love with Karaoke, so you’ll be seeing Knit Pixie patterns very soon!

here is a test knit cable in Karaoke… scarf pattern to come

Ozark Handspun and Tilly Tomas

At TNNA this year we picked up some great new “cottage industry” yarns. We received two shipments this week and are dying to show you. So here they are! I’ll add them to the site this week…

Here are a couple photos of the Ozark Handspun skeins! (I think we got 5 colors)

And these yarns are two colors of the Tilly Tomas “disco lights”, a spun silk twinkling with petite sequins.
Hello! Is this cool or what?! As a bonus, these yarns are handmade near our city of Boston.

We also have another yarn type coming that has crystals instead of sequins.
